What Monkey Upload is

Monkey Upload is a place to put your files online so they are safe, easy to find and easy to send to other people.

Think of it as a very tidy backpack. You drop things in, the monkeys sort them out, and you can grab anything back in seconds from any device.

It is made for anyone with files: freelancers, small teams, photographers, agencies, shops, schools and anyone who is tired of losing things in email.

How it works, in plain words

Upload: drag a file into your workspace, or send a whole folder at once. It is stored right away.

Organise: put files in folders, star the ones you use a lot, and search by name when you forget where you left something.

Share: make a link for one file or a whole folder. You decide who may open it and for how long.

Ask for files: send someone a request link. They upload to you without needing an account.

Keep an eye on it: you can see what happened, who opened what, and how much space you use.

Where your files live

You can keep everything on our managed storage, which counts towards the space in your plan. Nothing to set up, it simply works.

Or you can connect your own storage account, for example your own Cloudflare account, and keep the files there under your own contract.

You can also move files between those places later. Your links and folders keep working while the move happens in the background.

The monkey crew

Every member gets their own Monkey Agent, a friendly helper with a name like Bright Baboon. It only sees your workspace, answers questions about your own files, helps you find things and suggests how to tidy up. It never touches other people's files.

Silverback is the platform agent. He works for the Monkey Upload team, keeps an eye on the platform as a whole, and helps staff with settings, workspaces and the published pages. Only the owner and super admins can ask him to change anything, and every change he makes is written to the log.

Both agents follow the same rule as the rest of the platform: they never act above the permissions of the person asking.
